Resolved Question: why has my car never shown up on the motor insurance database?
i have an insurance certificate right in front of me in paper, in my hands. the car was first insured in jan 08 but always had to go to the post office because i could never do it online as they always say i dont have insurance online. i called up insruance company, they pass me to dvla who in turn, tell me i need to speak to insurance company. the mid website say the police can impound my car if stopped. what do i do? i get tax discs for 6 months which i have to go to post office for.

Resolved Question: Re. the F1 breakaway - will the FIA allow a breakaway Formula 1?
The FIA are the governing body for international motor racing. They license events - and give drivers their licenses. Because they are a breakaway outfit, will the new FOTA F1 racing even be allowed to race? I am sure that the race must be FIA approved for the event to get insurance, for example. I am sure there are enough circuits of a high enough calibre for a new championship to take place and it can be organised in a very short time span - but will Max Moseley allow it because it will be in direct competition with F1? (And I do not believe for one moment he will not have his arm twisted by anyone involved in F1!!!) Have a look at the FIA's International Sporting Code and make up your own mind! argent.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/DD5A1BFC38A13D83C125751400375656/$FILE/CSI_apres_AGNov08ANG.pdf I should have made it clear that Max is the one with the new rules - and he runs the FIA, who license events!!! The web link was not clear, so try this one! argent.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/DD5A1BFC38A13D83C125751400375656/$FILE/CSI_apres_AGNov08ANG.pdf The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile is the governing body for world motor sport & the federation of the world’s leading motoring organisations. Founded in 1904, with headquarters in Paris, the FIA is a non-profit making association. It brings together 219 national motoring & sporting organisations from 130 countries on five continents. The FIA has been dedicated to representing the rights of motoring organisations & motor car users throughout the world via campaigns & activities that defend their interests. On issues such as safety, mobility, the environment & consumer law the FIA actively promotes the interests of motorists at the United Nations, within the European Union & through other international bodies. The FIA is also the governing body for motor sport worldwide. It administers the rules & regulations for all international four-wheel motor sport including the FIA Formula One World Championship, FIA World Rally Championship & FIA World Touring Car Championship.

Resolved Question: Low income with motoring expenses that cripple me.Help?
I am currently employed in the south east of the country on a little more than the minimum wage. My company requires that I use my own vehicle for work. I travel in excess of 400miles a week on business and I am paid 25p per mile expenses, which just covers fuel. My rent, whilst normal for the area is high when compared to the rest of the country, at £600 pm for a one bed flat. I am aware that I can get tax releif through HMRC Mileage Allowance Relief scheme. Is there anything else I can claim for like vehicle running costs, cost of vehicle, business insurance etc, as were it not for the job I would have little need for the vehicle. I am becoming desperate as I have to service and MOT the vehicle soon and know that the work required is going to be extensive and expensive then have tax and insurance renewals soon after. I am closely approaching the point where I can not afford to work!!! Thanks in advance for your response.
